The Belzec Remembrance Project: Transports

Belzec, one of the most deadly of the concentration camps, was set up to enact Hitler's "Final Solution" to the "Jewish Problem".

Around 300,000 Jews from the Lublin district of Poland were deported to Belzec. Lublin was where the most
religious Jews in Europe were based. Here is a list of some of the transports to Belzec Death Camp.

**The Izbica victims were divided between Belzec, Sobibor, and Majdanek.

According to researcher David Silberklang, there were around 320,000 Jews in the Lublin district at the start of 1942. Another group of 90,000 Jews were sent into the district during the year, from places like Czechoslovakia, Germany, Austria, and Netherlands. By the end of the year only around 20,000 of this group of 410,000 Jews were still alive.

Data confirms that 320,000 Jews were murdered in camps or by being shot in the district in 1942. We are missing records on the fates of 40,000 Jews from the district in 1942. We can assume they also perished.

The following transports of Jews to Belzec also took place from other parts of Poland:
