Nov. 16, 2002. Dear Friends, Thank you for your generous support of my campaign for Governor of Wisconsin. We started something that is so incredible and so enormous that it literally leaves me in awe. We have made history -- and we are not done yet. We had Wisconsin's best third party Governor campaign showing in sixty years. For every dollar we spent, my opponents and the special interests spent sixty. On a shoe-string budget, we won over 10%, shaking up the political establishment and earning the right to place a new member on the state Elections Board. We are offering an alternative where none existed before. We have begun something very powerful and important. We are a voice that will have to be dealt with. We are not going away. Again, from the depth of my being, I say thank you. In thanks for all your help, Ed Thompson PS -- Over the week since Election Day, I have been giving a lot of thought to what I will do now that the election is over -- in addition to running my supper club in Tomah. One thing is for sure: The Governor's race is just the beginning. I will write you later with details of what I decide to do over the coming years to help bring common sense, honesty, and integrity to Wisconsin government.
