THOMPSON CAMPAIGN STARTS COUNTY ORGANIZATION WITH A BANG 1/6/2002. THOMPSON CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCES DANE COUNTY CHAIR Ed Thompson, City of Tomah mayor and Libertarian candidate for governor, has announced the Dane County Chairman of the Friends for Ed Thompson campaign is Rolf Lindgren. Rolf Lindgren is currently employed as a loan officer with First Wisconsin Mortgage Inc. out of Middleton. In 1981, Lindgren graduated with a math degree from the University of Wisconsin. Lindgren was the Dane County Chairman of the Libertarian Party from 1998-2001. As acting chairman of the Dane County campaign, Lindgren has scheduled the kick-off meeting for all interested Dane County volunteers for 6pm Tuesday, January 8 at Jingles Coliseum Bar, 232 Olin Avenue, Madison. Ed Thompson, City of Tomah mayor and Libertarian candidate for governor, has named Marge McGinnis and Jim Bolin the Douglas County Co-Chairmen of the Thompson campaign. Marge McGinnis has owned and operated numerous taverns over the years, but has recently retired from the business. After graduating from Deer River High School in Northern Minnesota, McGinnis moved to Superior in 1964. McGinnis decided to become involved with the campaign because, “Regardless of special interest groups, Ed Thompson will fight for what is right. It is time we end the corruption in Madison. Ed fights for the common man!” Jim Bolin currently owns and operates three businesses in the Douglas County area, President Bar & Liquor, President One Stop, and the newly opened President Carwash. Bolin is married with five children and has three grandchildren. THOMPSON CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCES JEFFERSON COUNTY CHAIR 1/17/2002. Ed Thompson, City of Tomah mayor and Libertarian candidate for governor, has named Steve Hepp as the Jefferson County Chairmen of the Thompson campaign. Hepp, a lifetime Watertown resident, started Steve’s Limousine Service in 1985. Hepp has also owned numerous taverns over the years, including the Silver Eagle Saloon in Watertown, the tavern he currently owns and operates. Hepp says he became involved in the campaign because, “I am sick and tired of the bureaucrats in Madison. It is time for a voice of the people. Ed can bring about a change in Wisconsin.” Steve Hepp has already brought Thompson into Jefferson County for a two-day campaign stop in November. Thompson toured downtown businesses and spoke at a fundraiser at the Silver Eagle Saloon. Thompson is eager to have Hepp on board. Thompson said, “Steve is just like me, a small-business man who has known work his entire life.
